Have you heard of visceral manipulation?
Visceral manipulation is a gentle hands-on therapy used to help with various abdominal & pelvic symptoms including pain and discomfort.
Though it’s also offered as a stand alone training, visceral manipulation is a component of osteopathy and can be used to help with abdominal pain, constipation, bloating, cramps, indigestion, bladder symptoms, and more.
Visceral osteopathy is often used in combination with musculoskeletal techniques as part of a whole body approach to treatment (it’s all connected after all!).
This approach is gentle and should be painless, however there can be sensations of tenderness or pressure. Any discomfort should be communicated with your practitioner.
People of all ages can benefit from visceral manipulation, including babies.
