I am so lucky.
I am surrounded by amazing women who are my role models, colleagues, friends, and family.
I get to work with amazing women every day. I am surrounded by strong, compassionate and caring practitioners and clinic staff who are also super women who help their clients to lead healthy, happy lives.
Not only do I get to work with these amazing women, but I also get to witness the strength, resilience, and adaptability of women who see me at the clinic for Osteopathy. These are women who come to me, and share their stories about their lives. I know that back pain, headaches, and body aches are not uncommon. And I know that these pains can take their toll on life. It makes it difficult to do the things these women need to do, and the things they love to do.
I know that if you are suffering from pain, that it can be tough to get through the work day, to take care of your children or grand-children, to be as active as you would like to be, and even to sleep.
The women I work with are strong. Even if they don’t know they are. They are people who have survived car accidents, who are recovering from broken bones, surgeries, and various traumas. They have survived cancer. They are managing back pain, headaches, or migraines. They are women who are growing tiny humans inside their bodies, women who have given birth, and women who desire to become mothers. Women who are caring for others, and are coming to see me, to be cared for.
I get to help these women to realize that they are capable of recovery. To find strength and to trust their bodies. I get to provide them with relief from pain, and to educate them about how to move forward. And every day, I am in awe of how amazing the human body truly is, and how strong women can be. So thank you ladies for sharing your stories with me, and for giving me the privilege of working with you, and to learn from all of you.
Happy International Women’s Day!
